Ministry Background In addition God has placed a burden in the Orozco’s hearts for those in need of inner healing…a touch from the Lord for their spirit and soul. The outpouring of poverty, divorce, drug and alcohol abuse, violence, depression, anxiety and the like is overwhelming even in the body of Christ (the church) and all stem from affliction, emotional, mental and spiritual wounding. This ministry addresses those wounding through prayer, teaching, nurturing, and mentoring; all of which are examples of the work of Christ on this earth. This ministry also works to support and establish programs for children worldwide; especially impoverished, abandoned, neglected, and orphaned children. The needs of children in underserved populations are great and this is a critical ministry for believers to address through their local churches and communities. Beyond the basic physical health needs, every child needs to know that they are a product of God; treasured, born for a purpose, special, and, that they are loved. When a child grows up in poverty, alone, and in an environment of basic survival, children’s emotional and mental health needs are neglected and feeling special and loved are not innate. Those truths must be fostered through the provision of their needs, loving examples and a nurturing environment in which to grow. This ministry focuses on providing direct resources, networking with other direct service providers, providing technical assistance, and supporting ministries who care for the spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, and social needs of impoverished, neglected and abandoned children worldwide. Pastor Luis Orozco Luis Orozco was born in Mexico City, Mexico and has lived in the United States for the past 24 years. Although he was raised, from an early age, with a strong respect for God, he attributes a powerful life changing experience on July 4, 1993 that drew him into a personal relationship with Christ. Since that day he has diligently served in unique ministry opportunities to help others establish a life saving relationship with the Lord and to demonstrate a Christian life that’s filled with enrichment, successes, and power over one’s circumstances. Since 1993, Pastor Orozco has served in many large and small ministries across the nation and has taught and ministered to both English and Spanish-speaking audiences. Luis Orozco has a unique vision for the body of Christ to know and understand the work of the Holy Spirit, and to receive healing and empowerment from a deeper relationship with Christ. In addition to his work with other ministries he and his wife, Dr. Holly Orozco established Hope International Ministries, Inc. in 2006 with heartfelt passion to reach the lost, heal the sick, and minister into the lives of those who have been abandoned, neglected, orphaned, or impoverished; bringing them into a Son-ship relationship with God, and establishing hope and purpose for their lives. His ministry has touched the lives of many non-church goers as well as Christian believers. Pastor Orozco often ministers both to individuals and in corporate worship settings. Dr. Holly Orozco founded Hope International Ministries in 2006 with great compassion for those in need of inner healing and for abandoned and neglected children worldwide. Dr. Orozco has training and education as a minister in inner healing and has been a part of inner healing teams and prayer ministries for the past decade. In addition, Dr. Orozco has traveled to over 14 under-developed countries and has witnessed the impoverished conditions that many children live and survive in. It is her hearts desire to support and implement programs that address the needs of children worldwide. Dr. Orozco is currently the Director of the undergraduate Health Science Degree programs and Associate Professor at Trident University International. Dr. Orozco was formally the Senior Advisor for Substance Abuse Policy in Governor Janet Napolitano’s Division for Substance Abuse Policy (Arizona). Her prior work in substance abuse prevention was in Orange County, California, where she worked for the Alcohol and Drug Education & Prevention Team. As a Prevention Specialist she helped community coalitions in southern California address their alcohol problems through environmental prevention strategies and policy change. Prior to that, she was a Health Educator on fourteen Native American tribal reservations in San Bernardino and Riverside California, working to prevent substance abuse, school dropout, and teenage pregnancy. Dr. Orozco has over fifteen years experience in the field of public health. In addition to her substance abuse prevention experience she has worked as a Research Associate for the University of California, Los Angeles’s Center for Health Policy, and as an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing and Health Science Program at California State University, Los Angeles. Dr. Orozco graduated with her Masters degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Community Health from Loma Linda University in 1993 and completed her doctoral studies in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Education and Health Administration at Loma Linda University in 2003. Richard Culp Richard Culp was born in Albany, New York, is a born-again Christian for well over twenty-three years, and a member of Word of Grace Church in Mesa, Arizona. He currently serves as the Vice President of Ministry Development for HIM and serves as the Co-Director of Mesa Healing Rooms, and the Director of the War Room Intercessory Prayer Ministry. Additionally, he has over two years of theology training at Arizona College of the Bible. He currently resides in Arizona with his teenage daughter, Jillane Culp. In addition to his passion and desire to serve others through ministry Richard Culp is also a business entrepreneur. He is the current founder and principle owner of two successful businesses in Arizona. Through his entrepreneur spirit, Richard has established a business model for growth and expansion and is currently developing a curriculum to train other business owners, ministries, and churches in expansion principles founded in personal development. Richard is working to expand the capacity of HIM to conduct ministry and support other like-minded ministries.
